I think this is noise resets...

I think I'm getting noise on my VR signal. The RPM bounces between 1400 and 0 at idle. It's a Mercedes C230 engine using the stock components, including a 60-2 trigger wheel. Anything ya'll see in the logs or MSQ?

No, that's a loss of sync. Try a 10K resistor across the VR sensor and see if that improves it (if you have a V3.0 MicroSquirt).

Yeah, it's a 3.0. One leg of the resistor on the VR pin and one leg on the signal ground pin?

For VR sensors you should be wiring it to VR1+ and VR1-; wire the resistor across those two pins.

This engine has a cam sensor as well, but it's a Hall sensor. Can I use that?

Yes. For the V3.0 uS, connect the Hall signal to VR2-, and leave VR2+ floating. You may need a pull-up resistor.

As you are using bank to bank fueling and wasted spark, the cam sensor will not be needed.
