JP4/ PE0

Post by 800vtwin »

I've searched the documentation but I cannot find the location of JP4/ PE0.

I assume its among the 6 jumper pins? And the ground is beside it?

Can anybody pinpoint it for me?

Is microsquirt reliable with n2o on full time?

(i would like to run a switch. Have the regular tables for racefuel 90% of the time, but switch to n2o with slightly richer fuel and retarded timing for pump gas when racefuel is not available.)

Anybody??

I can't find a silkscreen for the uS. But from looking at the uS module, I believe its actually not a jumper on the microsquirt. But its behind the ampseal connector, first pin at top right corner of U1. = pin 25.

Is this correct????

N2O should be reliable, and someone used it when it was first installed. But if this were my car I would install the switch and set it up to just add a small enrichment & retard, but have the N2o unconnected. Then when you push a button you should see a small blip in fuel and spark advance on a datalog. Drive around like this and test some more. In fact best would be to have the solenoid hooked up but just not trigger the bottle.

The way I would test the pin is to find the PE0 pin on the processor (in the schematic) and measure ohms between the pin and the jumper (check is there a resistor between them - if so measure on the side of the resistor closest to the processor.) You should measure 0 ohms. Do NOT have the processor powered when you do this as you could fry a processor pin. I use a tiny wire, like the end of a resistor wire to touch the processor pin.

Is this the PE0 pin that I ground? So is there actually a jumper??? Where is it?

I'm not looking to run n2o, but to basically have a 2 table on the fly tuning.

i would like to run a switch. Have the regular tables tuned for racefuel 90% of the time, but switch to a different tuning with slightly richer fuel and retarded timing for pump gas when racefuel is not available. I just want to use the n2o feature for this. So its only pump fuel or race fuel = switch on or off.- no bottle.

I found out its the flexfuel input. Pin 6. When flexfuel is disabled, n20 is activated from grounding it.
