ZX9R Turbo

Post by fran9r »

Hi Folks,

just found this board after posting on the megasquirt...I'm embarking on a project of taking my 1998 Kawasaki ZX9R, and adding a turbo and efi. Any help in relation to sensors I will be requiring, and if stock will work or if alternative need to be sought would be greatly appreciated. I'll be checking the manual to work things out too.

Thanks,

Fran

most bike guys run alpha n, which does not need a map sensor
so you will need a intake air sensor, coolant sensor...2 pin type, throttle bodies. and most probably a 02 sensor ...this will have to have a wideband controller.
if you are going to turbo ...then you will need a map sensor and use a blend of map and alpha n

Does anyone know if the microsquirt can control the following? I'm a little confused as to the mix of capability.

Spark Trim
Fuel Trim
Injector Phasing -Sequential
Boost Control
Water Injection
Intercooler Spray
Rad Fan Control
Idle Speed
Soft Rev Limiter

Cheers

The first 3 are not in the uS because these are sequential/COP items (but are in the Sequencer). Boost, water, intercooler spray, soft rev limiter are in Extra code version. Fan control is there using GPIO, and there is open-loop idle speed (closed-loop with extra).
