is Dave capacitor ok for Microsquirt ign trigger?

Post by jkeyzer »

The Microsquirt has the 'Dave capacitor' C27 installed (0.22uF). I noticed that the MSII docs say not to use a Dave capacitor if you are using OPTOIN as an ignition trigger. Is this true for Microsquirt, or can I keep the Dave capacitor and use OPTOIN+ for my trigger? Ideally I would like to avoid making any modifications to the Microsquirt board if possible!

You shouldn't need to remove it.
