Need help: problem with Battery reading after update...

Post by SQLGUY »

Hi all,

I just updated my MicroSquirt to the latest, 2.883j, firmware. The update seemed to go fine, but after reconfiguring Megatune and setting my ECU type, the indicator now shows "Battery LOW" where it used to show "Battery OK". All other communications with the unit seem fine (I am not yet to the point where I can run my vehicle off of it, so I don't know what else might be affected).

The realtime display shows 0v from the Battery. I tried changing the battery lag to 100, but that didn't make any difference.

Measuring voltage at the MS harness between red and black shows 13.6V.

Any ideas?

Thanks,
Paul

You didn't reload your MSQ after updating the firmware, did you? This sounds like a firmware corruption issue rather than actually having low battery voltage.

sounds like I should reflash it with 2.883j and then see how things look. Is that correct?

Thanks,

That would be the first thing I'd try.
