RPM

Post by jahlive12 »

I know I have search and maybe I am not looking in the correct place. I have the MS11 v3 with the EFI and for some reason I cannot get the RPM signal to work. I did step 50a (Hall/Optical) and step 51 everything else works except the RPM. I also followed the install for the TFI and I installed the 1k resistor in D2. I did not want to go on to step 56 before I check to make sure I did not make a mistake. Let me know thanks

MS

Doing it as I type just wanted to check if it was a common problem or I just messed something up. Will keep checking. One question when installing the resistor in D2 (as per TFI instructions) on on the ms11 v3 do we need to follow any form or polarity or it does not matter?

jahlive12,

No rpm is a fairly common problem, often caused by a missed step (or a misunderstood step) during assembly. The resistor is not 'polarized' and it can go in either way.
