fuel pump question

ok i need to replace my pump and want to go with this http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku i think this will handle "the beast" for now. but i want to know if i should buy http://store.summitracing.com/partdetai ... toview=sku or can ms do this in some way? the reason i ask is because this gives a stable volt. output. and gives it a boost. dont know if this would help me out in any way.

oh and by the way i have a 87 325i that is going to get a s/m50.

I would stay away from the boost-a-pump gimmicks.

Just the one pump alone is goof to 500hp...so it says. That should be plenty. If you need more fuel then that, go with a higher flow pump, or have another pump kick in after a certian pressure via something like a Hobbs switch.

Is your electrical system unstable? Does it output less than normal voltage at any time? If so, I would correct your system first and skip the booster. The booster is primarily designed for racers that use no charging system and need help when the battery is being drained during a race by computers, ignition, injectors, pumps, etc.

If the pump specs show it will pump more than enough fuel for your maximum demand and pressure at normal voltage you should be fine. There are ways to test your system before you really need it. Post again when your system is about ready to run.
