Injector polarity?

Post by conn110 »

MS-1 V2.2 MegaTune 2.25

I'm using Bosch type injectors from a 280Z. The actual manufacturer us Niehoff.

There are no markings of any kind to tell me where to put the 12v and where to put the ground.

Anyone know if polarity matters in these types of injectors? I know that in some injectors it doesn't matter as long as they are all wired the same.

conn110,

In general, the polarity of the injector wiring at the connector doesn't matter. Some injectors are marked + and -, but this is believed to be more for troubleshooting purposes in an OEM service enviroment, rather than any particular electrical reason.
