Same source for MapGauge and Boost/Vacuum Gauge ??

Post by Holger »

Hi,

I would like to replace the MapGauge (kpa) with the boost/ Vacuum gauge. Did they use the same source for reading???
And is it possible to change the boost gauge from psi to bar?? I think its pretty easy to change the formula... but I am not sure where I will find it ??! :|
Could you help me?

If I'm not mistaken, all those settings would be found in the .ini file that corrosponds to the code you are running on your megasquirt. msnsextra.ini in my instance. You can change the default gauges for sure in that file, but not sure about changing the formula as I haven't looked that closely.

I am also not sure if i just can change the formula. I would love the gauge in bar (Vaccum and psi), but i dont know if the forluma is used just for the display, or even for the VE or other calculations...??

The guages just take the raw map data and display them how you want. Any changes there won't effect the operation of the system.
