Well...I just cant seem to get this going. I've read...and read...and read some more, but just cant get this thing started. The first time I try to start it for the day it turns over...chugs a few times and then stalls. It's all downhill after that and I assume it's flooding out. None the less I end up draining my battery after many failed attempts and changing the craking pulswidth numbers.

Anyways...here are a couple of jpegs showing the first "almost start" run of the day, followed by a second "no way in hell am I going to run" run of the day.

Please note in your post if you are using MS-II/MS-I/MSnS-E, the code version, MegaTune version, as well as V1.01, V2.2 or V3 main board, etc.

My apologies. I am running msns-e 029q with megatune v2.25 on a v3 main board.

Also...I found someone else with a similar combo and got it chugging a bit more. I still however cannot get it to idle properly.

Here are a couple of the new logs. Any and all help would be appreciated!

I was looking at car2-3 and was wondering why your temps are all over the board? Clt helps control PW so that's probably why the PW skyrockets. So look into that. I would raise your the REQfuel setting up to get it to start. I used the calc and it didn't work for the generated fuel map. it told me 14.4 and I had to raise it to 20 to get it to run.? Worth a try.

Hmm...I'm not quite sure. Looking closer at the datalogs...it appears to be a 3*F spike.

Here is another jpeg of the same datalog at a different time....with a wider angle.

By the way...thanks for the advise, I'll give it a shot tomarrow.

Nope! I almost completly drained my first battery trying to start it. It didnt even want to ignite this time...that is until the battery was almost dead. So after throwing in my partially charged second battery, I went ahead and datalogged with different req'd fuel settings.

The first one is a log with my req fuel at 15/15

The second one is with it at 20/20

And the third is with it set to 4/4

Changing the req fuel seemed to make no difference

I also might add that I am using the stock ford sensors with an easytherm setting shown at the bottom of this page...

And here is a couple of more. These last two I used my van for an extra power source...so I was able to get it to fire a bit more.

A couple of fun facts about the start attempts yesterday. First one being I have to turn the ignition off and back on to get the initial prime…or else it will not even try to start. After many…many failed attempts I stopped after my blood gasoline content became saturated to .07 % due to the raw fuel emanating from garage. I am in some serious need of help. I have adjusted the req_fuel up and down with apparently no reaction. I've adjusted the VE values up and down with the same results.

I should also add that I have adjusted the ASE from 1 to 60 and multiple steps in between with apparently no change.

How much Dwell are you getting at crank? I'd try a static setting of 6ms cranking and 4ms running or thereabouts...

How much ignition advance do you have at crank? Do you have your trigger angle dialed in properly?
