Flyback noise

Post by Kirk Carleton »

1983 VW GTI
1.8 l stock
MSI V2.2 flybackboard installed
19.3 lb/hr low impedence injectors

I have read most of the postings regarding flyback and injector noise and a lot of the postings refer to a very good posting

http://www.msefi.com/viewtopic.php?p=93 ... ght=#93324

I have two questions to clarify

1. In step 2 I like the idea of adding the cap to the flyback board, but when you refer to the physical size of a 1000 uf/35v not having room between the V2.2 PCB and the bottom of the case are you talking about C15 again?

2. If I do step 1 and add a 470 uf/35v or two to the flyback board and this get rid of the noise do I need to add the inducer discribed in step 3?

Thanks for the help

Kirk
