lack of power..

Post by maztah »

I just want to verify whether what I think is correct.

My engine is lacking power when it reaches an RPM above 2000. Is it natural for the PW to reach close to the req fuel or even beyond it to achieve more power? My engine is a 1.3L 4cyl TBI 80BHP

maztah,

It is not unusual. The req_fuel is the right amount of fuel for a full cylinder and 14.7:1 AFR. However, you likely want closer to 12-12.5:1, so the pulse width goes up about 10% or so.
