Quik question about accel

Post by Jackal »

I got my MS hooked up again..... Everything checks out fine but, my TPS signal is real retarded. I go into the "real Time Display" , hit the pedal (car doesn't run yet) and it is sluggish like would take 5 full seconds to match my foot.....like if i floored it would = 100%.

So what causes that? :?

Let me see if I understand...

Pedal all the way up, real time display showing 0 (or some very low value) When you floor it, the real time display moves to 100% open over a period of 5 seconds?

This is indicative of a voltage leak, and I would suggest that you first double-check the operation of the TPS pot on the stim.

Should the stim behave similarly, first clean your board as suggested in the manual, then go over the board (both sides) with a magnifying glass and look for solder bridges or a stray lead that might be causing the problem.

If the behavior is isolated to the car and you're using the factory wiring harness, I would first run wires directly from the TPS to the MS therefore eliminating any OEM interference that may be present.

P.S. Be sure to report back when solved.

Did you try your TPS lag factor in General settings? :?:

My Problem must have been a bad connection. I rewired it and everything is normal. But i have an another problem. I am not gettig tach signal. I replaced the R10 with a 1/2watt 1k resistor, and that did not solve the problem. Any ideas what i check next?
