Acceleration Wizard for Turbo Engine

Post by jonboyb »

Been trying to setup my acc. wizard on a turbo motor (MSII/V3/2.35Code). Does anyone have experience with this? I really don't know what kind of blend I need to give it MAP vs. TPS based. To me, it seems the MAP would be more appropriate for turbo applications. Maybe try 50/50 blend to start? I've had it 100% TPS based to set up my VE tables, but there is a slight hesitation when I apply throttle. I'm hoping it can be fixed under the accleration wizard.

I did some testing last night. First, I noted my max % change parameters based on the bin bars. I could produce approximately a 600 kPa/s MAP and 65 %/s TPS. That 600 figure seems really high to me, but it would produce it everytime with a throttle stab. The car idles at 20 in vacumn.

Now my question is, how do I go about setting the MAP-based values (ms) and rates (kPa/s) and the TPS-based values (ms) and rates (%/s)?

I know both the Mapdot and TPSdot Thresholds should be set above any noise, but determining bin values is just confusing me. Is there a GOOD explanation of acceleration enrichment somewhere other than the manual?

I noticed a sticky thread in the Extra forum. I have not gone over it in detail yet so I am not sure how much it will help you, but give it a look.
