Cant get it to Start anymore!

Post by Garrett4.0 »

Ive been playing with my MSII for about 6 weekends in a row now. The First 3 weeks I had no success at all. I just got it to start a couple weeks ago but I had to shut it off so I could move it out of the garage. Ever since then I cant get it to start anymore. Ive played with the cranking pulses more and still no go. It sounds like its gonna start but never does for some reason. All the settings are the same as the last time I started it expect for the cranking pulses. This is in my 97 Explorer Sport. Heres my setup.

4.0 SOHC
Stock EDIS
To4e turbo
MSII v3.0, v2.35 code, MT 2.25
LC-1 wideband
#30 high impedence injectors

I have spark, the plugs have fuel on them, but it still wont start again. Heres the datalog and msq file when i had it started. I have the datalog from today but its too big to post (2mb). Ill email it to anybody that wants it. I hope someone can help me, this is getting very fustrating. I also looked over the trouble tips but they were no help. Thanks for any help!

I don't know if this will help but I learnt recently that if the cranking rpm is set too high, then as the motor "catches" it will continue to get cranking pulse-widths instead of the running pulse-widths, which was killing my motor with too much fuel. I dropped the cranking rpm 100 rpm and got much better starts. If the motor catches cleanly and then dies then look at the ASE (after-start enrichment) settings.
