Cold/warm cranking pulse widths

Post by esv »

We are running a 2 liter 4 cyl ohc port injection european ford with MSII, V3, code 2,35, EDIS 4, LC-1 WB, MegaTune 225.

We have a pw of ca 2,3 ms at idle, 2 injections pr cycle, simultaneous staging, 4 x 167cc injectors, 115 HP at 5500 rpm, 118 lb-ft at 4000 rpm

We have got it startet. driven it, and all functions seem to work as they are supposed to do!

The matter I am a bit lost in is the cranking pulse widths.

What are good starting values at both cold- and warm cranking pulsewidths?

We seem to be a bit on the rich side now, don't remember de values as I haven't got the car and laptop here now.

I've read :RTFM: the http://www.megasquirt.info pages back and forth now for hours, but the seem to be several guidelines.
I found one here, http://www.megasquirt.info/v22manual/mtune.htm#howto about 1/3 down the page under "Get the Engine Started and Idling".

Do these values seem to be a good starting point?

I also found some other values for a Chevy 350 v8 engine here, http://www.megasquirt.info/ms2/tune.htm under "Setting the Cold Start and Warm-Up Enrichments" about 1/3 down the page. Those are totally different values than the first I mentioned.

Hope somebody can help med as I fees a bit lost! :?

Thanks in advance!!
