VE Table

Post by Jim »

The answer is....

.....NO.....

Multi-point and TBI are two different animals .

Does your TBIs pressure regulator have a manifold vacuum reference ?
This ONE item will throw everything out-of-wack , not to mention a whole
handfull of other variables .

The engine might crank and run but it won't be ready to
drive at all .

Be that as it may... It might be the best base map you'll find for your application.

I've tried other peoples maps on my car and have never had a single one run well, even for very yery similar speced engines. In fact usually it runs worse than the car ran on the VE table generaters map.

This is why they invented Wide Band O2 Sensors .

It's close to imposible , or at least really frustrating and
time consuming , to try to create an acurate VE Table without
a WB O2 .

Do you have one ?
You NEED one .

First follow the instructions on the website for the initial creation
of your VE Table .

Make sure ALL your other settings are set to their default values .

Use the "Generate Table" feature , it's under "Tools" when you have
your VE Table open .

Your engine should at least run now , if it doesn't , you need to stop
and check every single little item and setting , BEFORE you start
making a mess out of your VE Table .

Find and learn to use the "Table Transform" feature in MegaTune ,
it's also under "Tools" when you have your VE Table open , select
"Shift" this will change every value in your VE table UP or Down by
what ever number you put in , this makes your entire Table
richer or leaner without changing the "shape" of the Table .

If your engine still won't run , it's not because of the VE Table .

Every VE and Advance Table is a "one of a kind" piece of ART WORK .
You can't just purchase one for your particular engine .
