The MegaSquirt Project has experienced explosive growth other the years, with hundreds of new MS installations occurring every week - a phenomenal success! MegaSquirt has been successfully used in all aspects of Internal Combustion engine applications including R&D, Industry, Race, and Research. The MS project has transformed itself from a simple R&D project into a full-featured mature engine control system. To reflect this the support structure has also changed to meet the needs of MegaSquirt Users.
Moving forward, the R&D forums for MegaSquirt project are in a read-only mode - no new forum posts are accepted.
However the forums will remain available for view, they still contain a wealth of information on how MegaSquirt works, how it is installed and used. Feel free to search the forums for information, facts, and overview. While the R&D forum traffic has slowed in recent years, this is not at all a reflection of Megasquirt users, which continue to grow year after year. What has changed is that the method of MegaSquirt support today has rapidly moved to Facebook, this is where the vast majority of interaction is happening now. For those not on Facebook the msextra forums is another place for product support. Finally, for product selection assistance, all of the MegaSquirt vendors are there to help you select a system, along with all of the required pieces to make it complete.

ok, i have been trying to set up the XD-1 in the project cavalier with little sucess. so, i discovered that i cannot connect to the devices when they are daisy chaned together. i dont know why, but it just doesnt work. i have the guage in the A-piller and the controller in the engine bay, and everything is hooked up right. when powered up the XD-1 shows all the stuff it should show. what i would like to do is set the LED's on the guage to read AFR. but i cannot get the max number to go to 19.4 like it shows in the instructuion booklet. it says "number out of range" or something like that. i would assume that you would have to have the LC-1 hooked to it to get this to work, but i cant seem to get it to connect when they are all hooked together. now, i have an "extension cord" kinda thing running from the a pillar to the glove box so that i dont have to remove the gauge from the pod. but i am not sure if its working. anyone had any troubles with this sort of thing? im losing my patience with it...
Make sure you've got the terminator in the LC-1 in line and the XD-1 in the out line of the LC-1 this is obvious. Perform the open air calibrationi. Go into program LC-1 and set your output your connecting to the MS to air fuel 0.0V = 10.0 and 5.0V = 20.0 and then into advanced and uncheck high impedance. In megatune make sure you go into the configurator and select Innovate LC-1 0-5v in the lambda sensor settings. If your still having problems after this I would also suggest Innovate kuz i'd be guessing you've got a hardware problem or defective unit. Also make sure ALL your grounds from the LC-1 and XD-1 go to the same place as your MS grounds otherwise you'll get problems with irratic signal.
