datalog for analysis for experts :)
Background information. 2500cc, straight 6, 12 valve BMW engine in stock form. Ms2 on v3 board, 2.33 code and mt 2.25. LC-1 wbo2. controlling fuel and spark. Sensors are very stable and i dont get any interference, except casual rpm spike at 4800rpm, but i'm not tuning that part yet...
I'm having hard time tuning my car. I spend several hours already and driven several 100's miles autotuning, dataloging, etc and i'm going nowhere with the state of tune. I set rpm bins nicely accoding to torque curve i got from the dyno on stock ECU.
Autotune seems to produce varied results. in some cases (i.e. medium rpm, free revving the engine) it will significantly enrich certain bin, then while driving through that bin, it will enlean it..... this happens across wide range of bins (so far i'm trying to autotune up to 3.5k rpm for now). Resolting VE table is 'choppy'.
The good part is that the car drives allright if I'm gentle with it. Yes, i admint accel enrichment is not tuned yet, it's just going by default values. On WOT it's going pretty rich. Car has power even on high rpm's.. basically, I dont have any show-stopping issues....
I would really appreciate if an expert had a look at my datalog and give me few pointers there and there, do's and dont's, etc.
Aswell, it would be really great if somebody posted datalog of a well tuned vehicle/engine, so I have an idea how it all should look like - not necceserily similar engine, essentially I would like to see how the datalog should look for a properly tuned engine.
Thanks in advance,
Mops.
msq and datalog attached.

Are you turning off accel enrichment when using AutoTune?mops wrote:...Yes, i admint accel enrichment is not tuned yet, it's just going by default values...

issues described here turned out to be intermitent spark issues. once sorted (by installing ignitor module) all spark issues got resolved. check out my other threads for the details.
Thanks for input.
