Inlet air temp spark retard

Post by zymodude »

as the heading suggests, can MSII retard the timing with rising inlet air temps? I don't ever recall seeing this and a search just now didn't find anything either.

Thanks

Pete,

In the V2.6 code for MS-II, Al has added, "spark retard vs air temp for turbo guys trying to avoid detonation and a similar spark retard vs alcohol sensor frequency for flex fuel users."

This V2.6 code is currently in beta testing, assuming that goes well, it should be released shortly.

Lance.

Awesome! You guys rock!

Considering in the past I have seen post-intercooler inlet temps anywhere from -5degC to 50degC depending on time of year, this might come in handy!

I will keep an eye out for the software release

Pete
