Re: A/F ratio under Decel?

In terms of performance on a turbo car, what is the ideal air fuel ratio on decel overrun?

Lean- more heat... maybe more turbo spool between shifts (popping exhaust)
rich- more fuel to cool the turbo (flames out exhaust)
cut- fuel economy

I'm all ears and willing to learn :)

Re: The budget...

From this assumption, I reason that if I use an exhaust gas temperature gauge, I can lean out untill I notice an increase in exhaust temperature, and then try to ad some more advance and see if this reduces the exhaust temperature.

If this is successfull, I can then try and lean out a bit more ...

"do I need to set the kpa bins in ve table higher to match recorded map? "

I have been setting my highest cells on my tables to a KPA that I dont plan on reaching.
THat way I can set fuel and timing to extrapolate to the higher kpa.

If you plan on running 120 kpa.... I would set my top 2 values at ...

You will definitely get engine noise over 5K rpm as we found on the dyno. It may be specific to engines but mine developed engine noise that could not be avoided at 5800 rpm.

We dynod the car with a nice conservative tune and had no knock except the engine noise described at 5800 rpm.

SO then I ...

Yup... you crank around ~90-100 depending where you live.........and will drop to 30-60 depending on your engine.

Looks like your RPM signal is quite erratic. That will definitely affect everything........... WHere are you grabing the rpm signal from.

Timing looks ok
Fuel looks ok but your PWs are a little odd but those are impacted by rpms.
