alright, the car's starting more easily, still idles very high, but I'll fix that when I figure out why my car sorta just dies. It's doing it less I've noticed.... anyway, logs + msq.

I set up the ignition table to be 14 BTDC ~idle, and 10 otherwise, a pretty much flat map, just till I get idle ...

anyone know what it should be set to? I currently have it set at 1.0ms, but should it be more like 0.8 or 0.9ms?

except in my case it just dies. The idle speed doesn't drop or anything. The only reason the idle speed dropped in the log I posted was because I went out and closed the screw a bit.

*sigh* oh, and I managed to fry my LC-1 when I knocked a 12V wire off my power terminal block onto the grounding ...

I ran the car again without incident and nary a stumble yesterday, and without touching it or anything it died again... I'm wondering if I've got a bad ground or something and one of those fuses on the relay board or the MS itself is getting too hot and shutting off

anyone?

I got my car running, albeit at a very high idle speed (no idle controller hooked up). It ran for quite a while, and I started screwing in the idle screw to try and slow it down but it eventually died... Someone wanna look at it for me?

well I put the new code in... a bit of weirdness, and had to change the thing in common.ini to not drop comms. Anyway. I plugged that code in, and tried to start... it's a no go... but I imagine part of that is because it dropped to 7.3 volts at one point in time :shock:

what's your compression? 10:1+?

whatever it is, running way high AFRs isn't gonna help you much. I don't buy that whole fuel cooling buisness... from what I've seen it's just retarding the combustion so much that you're making less pressure in the cylinder (and such less heat). Drop the fuel a ...

440cc injectors should easily have made the kind of power you're looking for, and if you needed more flow you could increase fuel pressure a bit.

Perhaps you should try the 2.5 beta code? It had very high resolution fueling code, although I'm not sure whether that already made it into the normal ...

btw, for your reference, the 2.672x7a code from the beta code page isn't burning right. It fails verification. I'll pop over into linux and recompile and tell you if it works right then.

edit: or should I go for the 7b code in the 2.672 discussion thread? ever figure out the comm dropping weirdness ...
