I'm having same kind of problems at 4500 and after. Its just like hitting rev.limitter but my limitter is at 6500 so it should be the problem.

What might cose that kind of thing. I have tried almost everything; changed plugs, distributor, dist. arm, coil leads. I have tried leaner, richer ...
