Re: Ignition only installation as start?

Thanks!

Was planning to follow the advice of using 1 sensor :)

Will have more questions popping up when I'm making progress.

So if I understand correctly no sensors (temp, MAP, ) need to be connected, only 1 ign trigger sensor?

Re: Ignition only installation as start?

Hi,

Behind the seat / above the tail light is a small compartment which is more then big enough to house the MS3. So this will be the place for the MS, away from external influences like rain etc.

For my throttle bodies, I use the ones from the Suzuki SV650. In lenght they are aprox. the same as ...

Ignition only installation as start?

Hi,

I'm at the beginning of installing the MS3 to my Honda NTV 650 (twin engine).

Since the ignition setup from Honda is quite "special", I was wondering if it would be possible to set-up MS3 first to drive the ignition with the carburettors still installed?
In this way I'm 100% sure that my ...

Re: Ignition help needed V-Twin Honda

The manual is a little confusing and contradictory, but it seems you can't use dual spark for an odd-fire engine with a single missing-tooth wheel. You do have enough teeth to run it as a single-spark engine; set 'Dual Spark' to off, then set your M-N numbers, set 'Odd-fire' to on and your odd-fire ...

Ignition help needed V-Twin Honda

Hello,

After a long time I bought a Microsquirt V3 to use on my Honda NTV650 (Hawk).
In 2008 I had a question concerning the setup of the ignition, but if I understand correct, as from V2.8 there is a possibility to use independent dual spark.

So again I need some help for the correct setup of the ...

Advantage or disadvatage of this type of throttle body

Hi,

What are the advantages or disadvantages of using a throttle body like from Ducati?

http://users.telenet.be/racemier/duc.jpg

Could this setup be used to convert carbs to throttle bodies.
Question is because my engine is e V-twin and throttle bodies are hard to find. Also the still need to ...

Found out that Honda uses a crank offset of 76° :RTFM:

So this means that the VR's are in a 76+52=128° agle from each other (close to the 135° visual on the picture).

If I remember correctly the cylinders are offset 52 deg, but the crank is also offset. If you look at the picture the pickups are more than 52 deg apart.
I'm with Al, I would go with a single pickup and use the offset on # 2.

The angle between the teeth is 45° according to me,

looks like the ...
