I am informed by a company who clean and test injectors that 12 volt can be applied to a high impedance injector to test but a low impedance injector may burn out with constant current applied. Is this not the reason for PWM and flyback boards on megasquirt?

High impedance injectors 16 ohm will take 12 volts direct but I am sure that low impedance will not. If you are not sure your local injector tester and cleaner can tell you the flow rate using his test rig.

Hi Dave, I had the same problem with 1600 zetec se high impedance injectors as even ford could not tell me the flow rate. Best answer is to test one injector by powering it with 12 volts for 30 sec and measuring fuel amount injected. My injector was 85cc in 30 sec = 170cc min.
