Will the standard two-post GM ones work? Is there any documentation on how to do it you can point me to?

Is there some advantage to brazing rather than welding? I've made many a fuel rail and I've always welded it.... had never even thought to braze.

Am I missing something or is brazing just a cheaper method (don't need a TIG machine)?

What kind of gage do you have? If it can be switched to lambda, I'd do it. Lambda is universal amongst hydrocarbon fuels.

Otherwise, I suspect when your gage reads "11.5" it will mean the same thing your used to thinking.

"How to tune and modify engine management systems" by Jeff Hartman

Gets into the theory of why you need all of the functions in a carb or EFI system. Has a good section of project vehicles with good description of each. I'd highly recommend it.

At this point, it would be easier to discuss mixtures in terms of lambda...

Ethanol, Gasoline, or any mix of the two, while running at stoich (for the fuel) will cause an O2 sensor to read lambda = 1

That said, if you are at 11.5:1 AFR and its good to go, that meand you are running at lambda = .78 ...
