The drivers seemed fine and I was using the right baud rate.
I'm unsure of the chip in the cable. It was this one from Amazon. Is it most likely the cable? I'll order an FTDI compatible one.

Really basic I'm sure, but I can't connect my Microsquirt V3 to TunerStudio. I'm using a USB-Serial adaptor and have been through loads of port COM settings. Do I actually have to try 1-99 (or more)? What should I be doing or looking for when I test each one? Have the car running or just ...
