Rochester TBI Sizing

I initially had a Rochester TBI and adapter that was removed from a 1990 7.4 powered GMC truck and set it up on my 1972 402 powered Chevy pickup. I derived from the calcs that these 2" bores can safely supply 300 horses. My engine is in the neighborhood of 330 and I am going to supply 20PSI to the ...

A/C "Idle Up" With IAC?

Is it possible to use the GM IAC already utilized for the usual fast idle duties to also be operable with the idle up duties when operating the A/C as is used in the GM systems?
Is this already in the code or is this only do-able with one of the other configurable outputs with another externally ...

Well then, I guess it is worth diving back into again.

I am one of the "Old Skool" guys who loves simplicity and I can tune the s**t out of a carbed setup but I love the versatility of the Megasquirt and being able to build it and say "look what I did!
Lets see your Holley system do this",.. as ...

Nice to see ya again, A.J.!
Yep, I sure remember all of the toil you went through to try and figure it out. I guess Al got on and tweaked the code as I have been reading up on some of the past progress.

At any rate, I am going to start completely from scratch with a V3.00 setup sans relay board ...

Did The GM IAC Problems Ever Get Truly Solved?

I had many issues with missed steps, not following temp curve, etc,...etc.. as many other her had which some of you might remember by reading my old posts. The post that said the problem was "solved" with the latest version of code showed some success but there were still a select few who had ...

I had the inline "o" ring GM stepper. I had jumped the resistors, tried all of the algorithms and many, many different combinations of step start counts, closing counts, temperature curves and all to no avail. I had replaced the cap and resistors that JSC had suggested and I could not honestly tell ...

I WAS using the relay board unfortunately I took everything out so I can't test that theory.

Sorry.

For what it's worth, guys, I was using a BRAND SPANKING NEW IAC from GM....and the operation still fell on it's nose.
I think you guys are battling another "gremlin" than a sticky stepper.

In the "For What It's Worth" department, I did solder the standard components onto the SMT pads albeit a tight fit I was successful in being able to set the chip back into the socket without an issue. I took some closeup shots of the install that I will post this evening. I did fire up the truck and ...

Thanx for the explains, guys. And, BTW, Scott,
If you bring up the Accel wizard and just turn the key on (don't start) push the throttle to the floor in 1 second you should see the bar graph on the left side of the TPS section go to 100%/sec,...

My TPS tell-tale bar graph in the Accel Wizard ...
