MAT used to modify timing advance?

Thanks Al, just what I was hoping for. I'll try to download and flash it this week sometime. Jim

MAT used to modify timing advance?

Is the MS-II set up to do this? I've not found the settings for it anywhere, just coolant based. My timing map on the truck is really close, so close in fact that as the ambient temp goes up I sometimes get a rattle, particularly pulling a boat up one particular hill. Doesn't do it in the morning ...

You can probably get by with a 10A fuse and maybe even 5A. If it blows try a 15.

Funny you should ask James. A bit more involved and drawn out to be sure but in the end it is the same in terms of the circuitry, just that the extra components are installed and available for use should the need arise. The intent to isolate the output was not realized, nor was the objective of ...

It is not. You'll need some sort of signal processing circuitry because the knock sensor is apparently some sort of a mechanically resonant circuit. I don't know if this is done with a piezo crystal, (haven't taken one apart) but I suspect that it is, which would mean that you get an AC output at ...

OK, I've done a bit of backtracking and find I do have the 1K pull-up resistor connected to the 5v source above the proto area and the circuit matches the one shown at http://www.megamanual.com/ms2/Ignition.htm

IIRC I asked about this circuit at the time I built the board because it seemed to make ...

I'm just guessing this should be jumpered from
Q16 pin 1 to IGBT out, leaving R57 in the circuit as a pull-up resistor? Or would R57 need to go to 12v or 5v? Perhaps R43 should be removed as well?
