Bruce, I've purchased one of the first units, but haven't been able to install it yet.... Do I have to update anything or will it work ok as is?

Hi Coil,

Up to 1989, the Vmax has an analog ingnition unit and 4 pickup coils. From 1990, it upgraded to digital and 1 pickup coil. I have an early 1986 model.
