Just to make sure I got that right.
This valve in the picture above is a Fast Idle valve, isn't it?

I'm in Megatune and also with the help of the manual at http://www.megamanual.com/mt28.htm#sd ...

Re: Narrowband

reading through tuning tips ect...
I see that I can use auto tune, using a narrow band sensor.
can i use a 2 wire sensor or does it have to have a heater (3/4 wire)

With a Narrow band sensor you can use a single wire, 3 wire or 4 wire. Be aware that it takes the non-heated sensor more time to ...

That's the late model valve...Should be fast idle with no electrical input, then with progressively increasing duty cycle the idle speed should go down.

Also since it's for the smaller engine, it should have smaller holes which are easier to tap out for nipples. dunno, for you probably some size ...

That should work...

You might have to try either hole to the Manifold vacuum, there's two kinds of valves Ford uses, and it depends on which year you bought to determine which way the air flows through the valve. Early valves are closed with no input, late model valves are full open with no input ...

no, thats a stepper motor.

You need something like this -
http://img.replacementautoparts.net/domestic/images/standard/AC33.jpg

You tap the two holes and put in pipe nipples, then one hose goes to the manifold, the other to the air filter. Also i've seen people make a plate and bolt it to the ...

One idea we are kicking around is a generic relay board that operates via CANbus. Since MicroSquirt and MS-II and the sequencer board all have working CAN (And James has it working under MS2Extra), it would be easy to set up the spare port logic to activate a relay on this board. Things like fuel ...

What you would do is this...Mount your Access board in your vehicle, then wire all the power and grounds, as well as external relays, engine sensors and Injectors to the Access board terminal junction. Then hook the MicroSquirt up to the Access board main connector by using a pigtail wired with ...

Re: Microsquirt: idle valve confusion

I've been through the :RTFM:

No stepper IAC control: In order to make room for the dual ignition inputs and dual outputs, the ability to to control a stepper IAC was removed. PWM Idle valves, as well as on/off idle valves, can still be used.

I'm getting the "'DarkStar' Custom IAC Body for Jeep ...

yeah, just insulate all the unused wires in the harness from shorting out and you should be good.

Oh hey, almost forgot.

You need to add an external map sensor for the Microsquirt, I'm gonna shrink up a standard freescale map sensor for use in the harness, or mount it in a little box. I would use the GM sensor but I have a whole drawer full of these standard ones. I can glue two together and ...
