my car is a turbocharged 1.8L honda motor, very backyard modified, lots of good parts...

anyhow, with the new MS controlled sparkmaps i pulled out all my old msd boost timing control and whatnot...

now i also have a '88HO 5.0L in an rx-4 that has the MSD timing computer which requires the 6A. as ...

i had this problem with my turbo pressurized weber... under high boost the airflow would hold my throttle blades open... very exciting!!!!

i just stuck a huge spring on it and problem fixed.

the engine is well before FI systems for honda. it is an '82 accord engine. the engine is in a 2nd gen civic.

1.6L bored and stroked to 1.8L
ported / polished head
polished pistons
blueprinted and balanced rotating assembly
12lb flywheel
turbo cam grind
kevlar clutch
t3-turbo
lots of msd stuff ...

thanx for the response. i actually teach high school shop so machining isnt the problem. clearance is.... looks like i'll go vertical unless i can get a weeee bit of angle out of them.

multiport injector mounting angle???

i am about to drill my intake manifold for the injector bungs. with the scenario i am running it will be hard to angle the injectors down the intake runners. it is possible though to point them vertically. is this going to be a problem???

car is a 1.8L turbo honda.

heres how it sits right now. i drive it daily.

83 (2nd gen) civic
1.6L EL1 block with the EK1 1.8L crank (accord stuff)
fully balanced
lightened flywheel
custom turbo cam grind
some head porting
kevlar 400hp clutch
t3 turbo ...

i need:

-injectors (sounds like those would do nicely)
-injector bungs
-fuel rail
-throttle body with stepper style IAC and TPS
-fuel pump
-boost dependent fuel pressure regulator

some of these parts i can find at local wreckers. but what ya got? very interested.

choosing turbo system....

well, im starting to get antsy and want the rest of my parts... problem is i still havnt decided the direction to go. presently the car is a blow through carb turbo system.

here are my present solutions.

rx-7 stuff.. good choice, hard to find in my limited wrecking yards...

v-8 throttle body ...
