MicroSquirt.com read only forum (Jan.15,2018)

Ok, here goes...I am exploring the possibility/viability of creating a new computer/ECU to handle an existing 4 cylinder fuel injected engine. We have the pistons and con rods to convert the engine to turbo charger one. However, the issue being is that the older computer will not work with the turbo mod, and none is available to this model engine. Although, we can purchase the newer engine to a sum of 21g USD! We do not have any mapping or ability to back engineer the current ECU. Keep in mind, we are newbies. Anyone have any thoughts or direction in which we may be able to accomplish this task?

I faced the same problem with a fuel injected motorcycle engine. The old computer required DOS5.0!!! Went to Microsquirt and the transition was quite straight forward. I have been racing with the system for 3 years since.

wombat258, Did you already have access to the original "code" or was everything done from scratch?
