How can I tell what coil pack I have?

I have a Subaru EJ20 Turbo with a coil pack on the intake manifold. Has no ignitor attached to it. Can this be run by the Microsquirt with some mods to it?

Is the top image(green check mark) a view from the side of a standard 4 terminal coil pack?

No such thing as a 'standard 4 terminal coil pack'; they're all different ...
A quick check of Google and eBay suggests the EJ20 uses either a 4-tower pack with a 3-terminal connector on a lead, or a set of 4 COP, each with a 3-wire connector (either close-coupled or on a lead). I'll assume you have the single 4-tower pack. IF you have an older uS with the side-mounted connector and a metal enclosure, you can drive the coil pack directly. If you have the newer V3.0 with the connector on top of a plastic housing, you need an external ignitor, whether DIY's QuadSpark, a Bosch ignition module, or similar.

I think mine is a 4 wire. Would this have a built in ignitor then ?
