Greeting all, long time no participation in the forum.
I'm sure this has been answered but I can't find it.
V2 vs V3 Microsquirt, what are the differences please?
I do have a V2 (unused at the moment).
Thanks

The V3.0 removes the coil drivers and changes the VR conditioner to a MAX9926 based circuit.

ok thanks, so there isn't much difference then. No point in replacing the V2 I am planning to run as fuel-only this time

65looter, greetings stranger, that American lump getting sorted now? Yep, just to add to Matts comments...if you've had no tach issues with the older v2 on your application, there is no point in ditching the v2 for a newer v3. That said the v3 is really discriminant when it comes to VR signals, and works a treat on my troublesome GTS1000 set up.The cam VR signal is very weak on the GTS, and the v2 had trouble detecting it, and when I managed it (reducing the gap) the higher voltages at more RPMs caused interrupts.
I now use "gear tooth" Hall effect sensors from Vauxhalls & Opels (cheap..sub £8 on eBay), these are rock solid with any version of the MicroSquirts, or other ECUs.

I'm running the supercharger lump with a carb, it's good but mileage is awful really.
Planning to get the Microsquirt back in action for fuel only. I have not used it in a long time, I'm sure lots of new cool things happened since last I was playing with it.
