over fueling problems

The motorcycle is a 500cc four stroke, 180 crank engine and I am running
it wasted spark with a 12-1 trigger wheel using dual spark (single crank
wheel input), skip teeth 6 for the second spark. I looked into using
independent cam sensors but it appears to be nearly impossible to fit a
pair of VR or Hall sensors to achive this set up. :cry:

At the moment I am using 220cc/min injectors which gave me an upper and
lower required fueling of 7.6 > 3.8 respectively.

So to cut a long story short I have tried to reduce the required fuel to
lean the engine out but I am still running about lamba 0.8 at hot tick
over, I am now down to 0.6 required fuel (alternating) and still at lamba
0.8 !! I reduced the ASE and WUE in line with these changes. :RTFM:

It has now got to the stage where I do not have any adjustment left on the VE table.

Is the problem being caused by the microsquirt injecting fuel every time
it recieves a tach signal as I have also had to tell it that its a 2
stroke so that the engine RPM matches.

What are my options to resolve the fueling issue? would fitting far
smaller injectors (120cc/min?) be the right course of action? Or is there
an alterative that I have over looked?

I will post a data log and MSQ after I have purchased some new spark plugs

I don't think your injectors are too large. The CB500RR is a twin, right?

My project bike is a 2005 year model Kawasaki EX-250 (parallel twin) so I'm working with 125cc per cylinder. My injectors are 210cc/min and my Required Fuel is 3.8ms (I run 42psi fuel pressure). I know these 210cc/min injectors are suited for my 250cc twin because they're the same injectors that Kawasaki uses for the new fuel injected European version of the same bike and I'm running the same fuel pressure as the stock bike. I got these injectors included in the throttlebody from a wrecked and parted-out 2008 European fuel injected EX-250, purchased off of European Ebay. The bike runs great.

I think you're injecting too many times (like twice as much as you need). I'm willing to bet that when you get the number of injections sorted out you'll have to end up increasing your required fuel number from 3.8 to something around 4.5ms to 4.8ms. Just my bet. It'll be interesting to see where you end up.

I definitely think your problem is with this RPM problem.

Have you thought about simplifying the situation by going fuel only until you get that part sorted out? If your CB500RR uses an inductive type of ignition I've got a really good tach circuit (Coil sensing for a tach signal to OPTOIN+).
