2nd trigger/cam input via Hallsensor on Microsquirt module?

For engine experimenters, the MicroSquirt® PCB is offered in a module format with enhanced capabilities to be plugged into other boards. This is the place to discuss the MicroSquirt Module.

2nd trigger/cam input via Hallsensor on Microsquirt module?

Post by pigga »

Hi.
Short question:
How should I hook up a 2nd triger signal coming from a hall sensor to the µsquirt module?
The sensor is a 12V Bosch open collector type, i.e. it will switch an applied voltage to GND or provide a 12V/0V square signal if a pullup resistor is applied.
At MS2 the manual requires a tiny optoisolator-circuit wich goes directly to a processor pin.
What is best way to do this at Microsquirt module?
Thanks a lot in advance,
Thomas

Just wire it to the second VR conditioner; this will be able to take a 0-12 volt square wave fine while buffering the voltage from the processor.
