Tried Everything I can think of... MS wont communicate

Post by aarondost08 »

Hey guys. Im in the process of wiring up MS into our yzf 450 Formula Car and last night went terrible. I cannot get Microsquirt to communicate to Mega tune or Tuner Studio.

I can hear the relay click on and off. I took out the AMPSEAL harness and volt tested in and im getting 12.5 volts at the harness so I know Its gettin good power and ground.
I am using a comport with NO usb adapter, The port checker found ports 1 and 3 but had no connection made.

I am getting absolutley no response out of microsquirt and im at a dead end.

Anyone have ideas on what to try next? would there be a way to test and see if my unit is defective?

Please try reloading the firmware. If you get an error message (or the firmware loads successfully but you can't communicate normally afterwards), post the results here.

We are in a similar situation. Running Microsquirt on a cbr600 for fsae. We've run the bootloader and it kinda wants to communicate but not really.

running directly on a serial connector or through a usb adaptor we've tried sending the msq file to the ecu but it shows low battery and doesn't want to flash. If we rebootload it shows batt voltage ok but wont read sensors correctly, tps etc. Then if we turn off MS the next time we turn on it shows low batt.

Frustrating and time limited.
