Controller Code Version Warning

Post by R100RT »

Micro Squirter getting ready to link and tune motorbike project, I had this message pop up when I attempted to load Mega Tune 225p3_setup :

Controller Code version does not match signature in Megasquirt-II.ini.
(See Audit log for where the above file was found)
Expected "MSII Rev 2.88600" (found in ini file)
Received "Ox51" (from controller)
Table corruption may occur, this is usually a very serious problem
Terminate Mega Tune Now? Y N

I didn't procede, the bike wasn't even connected to the PC at that point. I did load the Mega tune on a different computer which is not being used for the project, and selected "yes" when the same page presented itself. That did lead to the 8 gauge tuning page.
Not sure this is a problem, ignor or deal with?
Thanks for help,

I sometimes get a message like this on a fresh download. The 0x51 is garbage indicating it didn't connect properly. I close MT, bring it back up and the message is gone. The other message you can get says two code versions don't match, in which case you should use the ini file that matches the code version.
