Megatune 2.25p3 strange behaviour

Post by MK_Micro »

Hi folks,
just received my brand new MicroSquirt and hooked it up to my laptop.

After sorting out some ini-errors (i.e. ignoring them) I could open MegaTune and the data from the MS could be read.
I could open for example the AlphaN-MAP table and edit it.
After some time most of the menus are greyed out and I cannot chose them anymore.
When I save the msq and re-open the file it works (at least for some minutes)

MegaTunix didn't like the Microsquirt at all. It couldn't determine the processor/code type and "froze".

Any ideas what could be the cause of that ?

Then I tried to get the "right" ini file for the delivery version of the MS (MS II 2.886), which was successful, but where can I find example msq's like they exist for msns-extra codes of MS I ?
(Above effect still there with the "right" ini-file)

BTW: I had a MS I V2.2 before and that unit works fine in the bike and with the stim - at least with MT 2.25 which I used then. Also this confirms that my PC hardware is somewhat ok.

Are you using a USB adapter or direct serial connection?

USB-Adapter, but as I said - this device is working fine with the very same Stim and the MS I.
Only thing I did was change the settings for the baud rate.

The MS-II communicates at a faster rate and this can create more noise errors. Try increasing the InterWriteDelay setting.
