Ignition Map Configurator

Post by JakobM »

Hi
The Ignition Map Configurator has allready been tested at a Danish tuning forum, however it would be much appriciated to have some of your oppinions as well.

I am looking for comparison with existing well working maps or just reviews from start-up experience with the Configurator. Please note that it is not made to give an "over-retarded-100%-knock-safe" spark table, but rather an average tuned startup-map.

When giving feedback please list your engine setups as chosen in the configurator.

Thank you in advance :D

/Jakob

All of the info needed should be there i.e. when choosing valves one of the options is >3 valves per cyllinder. That is your engine.

Which other info do you need?

You dont have to worry about your max advance or idle advance the configurator will tell you. Look at the input range cells which are to copied/transfered into the dropdown list boxes. You only need to tell which engine setup you have in step no. 2. Hereafter all numbers are given to you.

You can set whatever bar/kpa margins you want at the spark table. It will do the right calculation automatically based on your engine setup. Just swift the bar dropdown value and the Kpa value will follow (Bar*100) + 100 = Kpa) and you will se the change in retard/advance.

Look at step 2 here:

You will need to fill in all of them and hereafter transfer the input to the dropdown list in step 3. Hereafter you have your ignition map. Some may want to go 1 bar/200 kpa in pressure others 1.5 bar/250 kpa and with different bar/kpa margins. You can change this as much as you want and automatically have ignition map for these pressure margins vs. rpm. in step 4
