I had the richen up my ve map alot to get it to run right. it runs great, but starts hard. It starts but then dies quickly. if I give it a little throttle to get it running it idles fine. but I have to crank with about 25 percent throttle to get it to start..

several thing affect starting....
you didnt give much details.
like what ms you are using with whcih code. fuel or with spark ? crank trigger setup ? what warmup what afterstart settings ? it is only on cold or aswell on hot ?
you say it doesnt start.. it doesnt start at all or maybe it sputters once or more ? be more specific and descriptive.
lowest rpm/high map bins affect starting alot. i'd imagine these are set too rich...

i experienced the same problem too.. but i can't pressed on the throttle at all. have to crank the engine for at least 6 times without opening the throttle. the engine did started when i cranked it but dies immediately after that. after 5-7 tries, it can started on its own but once u step on the throttle, it will go died again. just leave it running in between "idling & dead" for couple of secs then only can step slightly on the throttle. but once the engine is warmed up, it start immediately when i crank it without a hitch. i'm wondering what is the problem too..
i'm running fuel only MSII on Ver3 board on Toyota 1800cc 3TC turbo.

msII/v3./tfi, the dist. is locked at around 20. ms is only doing fuel as of right now. I had to richen all the ve bins to get it to run right. I'm just going to play with it some more and see what I come up with i guess. I'll lean out the low ropm high map settings, I think thats the problem. thanx
