? about injector bore dimensions

OK, I have an '81 Kawasaki GPz1100, which has an early version of Kaw's FI. The injector bores are actually in the head itself, and it uses an old style pintle. (far right in photo) I'm converting it to the round crossection o-ring syle in the middle of the photo, so I can use the ubiquitous Ford 19# injector (good for 130 hp). So I need to bore out the injector bores, since the part of the bore that is .530 is about half the depth it needs to be. So here's my question:
How deep should that part of the bore be? Does the injector seat on the shoulder marked A in my drawing? Is it OK for the .530 bore to go all the way to the intake port, or should I retain the shoulder, and neck it down to the existing smaller bore?
Second question-
The stock injectors had a barb top, instead of the o-ring, so I'm building a fuel rail. Again, how deep does the .530 bore need to be on the fuel rail? Dimension B in the drawing? WHere does the injector seat in this hole? On the top face? On the o-ring?
Thanks!
Bruce

You'll probably get a couple different answers on this but I would first say it would be fine to seat it at point "A" . Mine ended up seating at the next step up on my application. But I have too much depth to deal with compared to your application.

It should be no proble to bore it all the wat to the intake port. Infact if this is very far it will also unshroud the spray pattern.

When I build fuelrails I cut my bungs to a length of .450".
