MS2 & Saab DI?

Hello!
I am new to this forum and also to MS. Have been reading a bit for some time now to learn a bit about MS.
I want to put MS on a Saab 99 with a Saab 900 16V-enigne. For ignition I would like to use the Saab DI (Direct Ignition) which has 4 single-coils (each for one cylinder).
I think I have read somewhere here that someone is running this with MS1 on a 900 Turbo.
My question now is, if I can run the DI with MS2, or only MS1 + MSNSE?
Thanks for help!

KeithG modified the MS1 extra code to run the Saab coils.

Hi keithmac!
Yes, I already stumbled over some threads here from KeithG. That is why I am thinking about running the Saab-DI aswell.
But I am not sure if the MS2 can run this, too, or if it is only possible with MS1+MSNSE...
Anybody a good point about this?

Common, noone realy?
From what I understood it is possible to run the Saab-DI-cassette with a 36-1-wheel & sensor on the crankshaft in wasted-spark mode.
Can MS2 handle this?

It has been a long time since I experimented with the Saab module and I can't remember how it routed the spark. If there are 4 inputs from the ECU and 4 outputs to the 4 coils, then MS II can not at this time do the routing. If there is only 1 input from the ECU, then it might be possible. We need a description of the pins to answer the question.

Yes, this is absolutely right, I think there are four inputs to the DI cassette and it is not possible to run this setup with MSII at the moment.
Too bad!

There is 4 inputs on the DI cassette, one per coil.

Hi there!
Ok, thanks for the infos. It is 4 inputs.
This means, I have to go the way MS1+ MSNSE.
At least I now know where to start...
Thanks a lot!
