Spec for EDIS vr sensor to wheel distance

Having trouble finding a spec for distance. What are we looking at? 1/16", 1/8" ?

Cripes, you want it a lot closer than that. A constant distance throughout
the revolution is more important than absolute distances but somewhere in
the 0.5-1.5mm is what you should be looking at.

The EDIS section of the megamanual says,
Near the crank wheel is a Variable-Reluctance (VR) sensor - this sensor produces a bipolar signal. The VR sensor is pointed at the center of the crank wheel, with a 0.030 to 0.060 inch gap (0.75 mm to 1.5 mm) to the crank wheel teeth.
