Hi,

I'm looking for information on how to fabricate carb boots for mortorcycles. By bike is a kawisaki zx1100e engine wise nearly identicle to more well known zrx and zx11.

The stock carbs are 42mm outer diamiter at the engine side, the throttle bodies I found are 52mm outer diamiter. So I am looking for the most gracefull way to fabricate a set of boots. Or better yet a place to purchase them.

Thanks,

CJ

well, here's the poor man way of doing it:

this is a gen1 bandit 1200, the throttle bodies are off an R1. Imagine a short section of silicone hose at the joining of the two.

Very easy to do, and can correct for spacing issues without too much effort.

That looks good!!

Only potential problem I see in that is heat soak from the. But silicone should resistant enough to that.

I had heard from someone that the GSXR 750WX intake manifolds would fit a
bandit with slight modification to the mounting tabs.

BTW what is the bandits carb spacing?

silicone hose is good to 350*, if you melt it, you have major problems :P

pretty much all suzuki's made are 77-93-77

your bike, like most kawsasaki's, are 77-85-77
