Any body ever try to run 100% Methanol if so how did you size your injectors?
I saw the AFR chart in Documents.
Do you have trouble starting it?
I bet it will pass emissions!!!

We´re quite a bunch of people here in sweden running on E85 (86% ethanol and 12% gasoline and the rest is additives).
Most people makes the "basic" amount of fuel delivery increase by 40%, then it usually covers the whole power range. The ones that have for example turbo charged engines usually just switch to 40% larger injectors and they´re ready to go.
Although beware that with a turbo engine you get less lag and earlier and more powerful response from the turbo. And if you set timing to soon you reach WAST higher cylinder pressures that what is possible on gasoline so bent cranks and things like that can easily happen

.
And i know for shure that one guy who ran his Volvo 960(NA 24V 3liter straight 6 204hp engine) on E85 and added Nitro as he had doned on gasoline, got holes in 2 pistons after a 400m run
So alkohols are THE BEST when it comes to easily obtainable power-fuel, but you need to have a little respekt for it

You'll need some big (or extra) injectors for your Altered. IIRC you multiply by 2.3 to get the methanol flow for 6.45:1 stoich. Lots more flow than for ethanol as you know. Haven't tried as a primary fuel only secondary. Should start same or easier as Enderle or Hillborn style setup and maybe bottle prime I would think
Am I close guessing - nostalgia, maybe 15:1 compression and ~24 psig boost? I miss the watering eyes.. lol. Whatcha runnin'?

Well the AAFA is already running 85% - 91%

Nitro
Was thinking of converting the Roadrunner to run straight methanol
Run much cooler here in AZ!!
Running 22 # now I guessing 32 or better for 100%
What 's your idea on injectors?

Need lots more info on the bag of parts you've bolted together for that one!

Eric has a neat number cruncher here
http://301url.com/IntakeSim that has enough variables to make things more than interesting. Once you have some ballpark numbers - if you don't already - I'll see what I can think of for options. Let me know. You've got to be havin' fun!

PS: Hoping to get to PHX the 18-26th of this month for well-earned downtime with the wife. Any suggestions for things we just gotta see or do in AZ? We have the wonderful excuse that we're tourists - so anything from stupid to wacko to boring works... you know, variety is the spice er something...

Got the Katana bike running on Methanol / Acetone mix.
The injectors needed to be at least the double.
But the A/F ratio can be way out of value and can be way too rich and still running.
Juste keep at least the double size. Idling will be fine with a too rich mixture if it is race only.
