I have set up a VE table with a spread from 25-100 MAP and 600-6000RPM
My engine idles at 750RPM@35MAP. There are two rows of bins BELOW my idle bin which is in the 35MAP row. (I have a 30 & 25 MAP bin rows too) and am wondering if I should re-configure the table so that the idle is in the verylower left corner?
I am running a 4-speed in my truck and thought that the lower MAP bins would be of some benefit.

There are advantages to having an rpm map bin lower than idle, it lets you control the pickup from cranking to idling more accurately. A vacuum bin below idle is also usefull as the over run when you let off the gas may often be below idle. I would suggest that you keep idle near the bottom left corner but not right in the bottom left corner to give you the best flexibilty of fully controlling things under all conditions.

by going a bit rich or more advanced just below idle RPM you can also get a good anti stall feature. Helps me sometimes when I dump the clutch too quick on a fast cam, but I'm not sure if your 4 speed is auto or manual. Even with an auto it can help when you dump it into drive.

Good thing with the MSnS-E/MS-II you have 12x12 tables, but ideally it would be nice to have a small 2x2 table just for the idle instead of a wasted column for high MAP/low RPM.
