Perfect AFR while at idle & cruise,under heavy load 20+

Hey guys..

I have been learning how to tune.. and been having a slight issue...

at rest, under no load .. such as idle I can tune the MAP for the perfect AFR for me 13.0 AFR to be safe... and also while cruising at different points...

however... under a load, such as climbing up a hill, or slowly accelerating from a dead stop such as a stop light.. I get spikes of like 20 AFR - 30AFR ...

how can I tune so it stays lean at idle and cruise, but also doesn't go lean under heavy load??

Sounds like you need to look at Accel Enrichment... did the AFR stay lean under load with constant MAP reading?

yes it stays lean under the same MAP and same RPM... but only untill it got up to speed...

so it stays lean under the same TPS and same MAP

OK i drove it around some more..

if I barely step on the gas it goes lean.. very lean..

if i just mash the gas ... everything is fine.. and the AFR richens up some

Ohh I have a question..

under the msns-extra.ini file I am looking for what the

"acceleration enrichment bin" looks like under the .ini file?

#endif

crankCold1 = scalar, U08, 144, "ms", 0.1, 0.0, 0.0, 25.5, 1
crankHot1 = scalar, U08, 145, "ms", 0.1, 0.0, 0.0, 25.5, 1
asePct1 = scalar, U08, 146, "%", 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 255.0, 0
aseCount1 = scalar, U08, 147, "", 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 255.0, 0
wueBins1 = array, U08, 148,[ 10], "%", 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 255.0, 0
taeBins1 = array, U08, 158,[ 4], "ms", 0.1, 0.0, 0.0, 25.5, 1
taeColdA1 = scalar, U08, 162, "ms", 0.1, 0.0, 0.0, 25.5, 1
tpsThresh1 = scalar, U08, 163, "v/s",0.1953125, 0.0, 0.2, 49.8, 3
taeTime1 = scalar, U08, 164, "ms", 0.1, 0.0, 0.0, 25.5, 1
tdePct1 = scalar, U08, 165, "%", 1.0, 0.0, 0.0, 255.0, 0
#if CELSIUS

for example ... I dunno if it's taetime1 or what it is..

I am tuning with my Palm OS ... so looking at the settings, I can only view the INI file and edit the values..

So you are saying that with different throttle position, the same MAP and RPM requires different VE? BTW, what kind of engine is this?

Is it misfiring at all? Misfires can be characterized in the AFR log as lean spikes, even if they are rich misfires. Misfire = no O2 burned which your O2 sensor interprets as a very lean mixture. Post a log!

sound like your sensor is going bad or there is a leek in your exzhaust before the sensor..
