Using MAP-sensor for ambient pressure

The car I'm about to MS has throttles for each cylinder originally. This also means that there is no way of measuring MAP (at least not usable for calculations by MS) with the hardware I have at hand. I therefor intend to use alpha-N calculations in MS.
Question:
Can I then in MS-II use the installed MAP-sensor for measuring ambient pressure?
(say if I climb the mountains here in Norway it could be useful). I have sourced another sensor that was installed in a Motronic box I cleaned to make room for the MS. So I could of course install that. But if I could tell MS-II to to permanently use the original sensor it would of course be easier.
Or is there no point in measuring this pressure when in alpha-N modus ?
